Position Overview

Assistant Professor – Faculty, Regular Employment. 9‑month tenure‑track position starting 8/24/2026 at the Department of Health Professions, University of Wisconsin‑La Crosse.

The department seeks candidates with expertise in movement science, physiology, human performance, and/or epidemiology who have teaching experience and a scholarly agenda that complements the current faculty.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses, maintaining current content, evaluating student work, providing feedback, maintaining records, and holding office hours.
• Advise students.
• Maintain an active, ongoing program of scholarship appropriate to the discipline.
• Provide service to the department, college, university, community, and/or professional organizations.
• Other duties as assigned by the department chair or dean.

Required Qualifications

• Terminal Academic Degree in a Physical Therapy related field; degree must be earned by the end of the first academic year.
• Evidence of effectiveness as an instructor.
• Evidence of clear and effective communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Six months or more of clinical experience.
• Teaching and/or research experience in movement sciences, physiology, human performance, and/or epidemiology.
