SC State University is seeking an Assistant Professor to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Speech‑Language Pathology; supervise student practicum; recruit and advise undergraduate and graduate students; supervise students in varied caseloads as defined by communicative disorder categories and age ranges; participate in scholarly activities and clinical supervision. Eligible candidates should have an interest in clinical practice, teaching, and research in one or more of the following areas: dysphagia, motor speech disorders, neurogenic communication disorders, augmentative and alternative communication, voice disorders, speech science, and child speech and language.

Minimum Requirements for Entry into Position

• Three (3) years experience in diverse settings.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology.
• South Carolina Licensure eligible.
• Earned doctorate from a regionally accredited institution.

Preferred Requirements for Entry into Position

• PhD / EdD in Speech‑Language Pathology.
• Preference given to individuals with university experience and/or a background in augmentative–alternative; child language disorders.
• Evidence of scholarly activity is highly desired.
