A leading academic institution is seeking an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology to engage in teaching, clinical, and research responsibilities. The role requires a licensed obstetrician-gynecologist who is committed to excellence in patient care and medical education. The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Women's Health at the University of Minnesota is accepting applications for Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
About the Appointment:
The selected candidate will participate in the full range of undergraduate and graduate teaching programs, all facets of patient care, and engage in scholarly duties.
Full time obstetrician gynecologist to participate in combined clinical, teaching, and research responsibilities at the University of Minnesota.
Clinical duties include clinics, surgery, L&D coverage in a rotating pattern (currently 1:9).
Teaching duties: Instruct medical students on primary clerkships and advanced rotations, residents in ob-gyn residency family medicine residency and MFM fellows.
Research duties (if applicable: clinical or teaching assistant professor with expectation to participate in clinical research, produce scholarly output and seek promotion.
Faculty are encouraged to collaborate within the division and throughout the Academic Health Center and UMN community.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited ACGME OB/GYN residency training program.
Board eligible/certified with the ABOG Board.
Licensed or ability to acquire Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure.
Ability to acquire/maintain DEA certification in the State of Minnesota
Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of VISA category while in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
Successful candidates will have an interest and demonstrated involvement in instructing, service and clinical trials or patient safety and quality improvement.

Pay Range: $250,000 - $350,598; depending on education/qualifications/experience
Time Appointment Category: 75%-100% Appointment (If job description above does not specify appointment or expected weekly hours, assume a 100% appointment.)
