AREA15 Las Vegas is seeking an Assistant Production Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, event production, and building needs. You will lead production activities, coordinate staff and contractors, and ensure a safe, engaging atmosphere during events.

You will report to the Production Manager, manage payroll allocations and timesheets, and maintain schedules while fostering positive relationships with clients and team members in a dynamic venue environment.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of production experience in a performing arts center or music venue.
  • Experience in production planning, budgeting, execution, and management.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and 100 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate knowledge in event production, setup, tear down, and changeovers.
  • Act as Manager on Duty/House Manager during events.
  • Oversee production process and coordinate activities and staff.
  • Process payroll and manage timecards for labor reporting.
  • Maintain schedules for day-to-day operations and events.

Position Assistant Production Manager

The Assistant Production Manager will support and report to the Production Manager, overseeing day-to-day operations, event production, and building needs. Additionally, this role involves maintaining the desired atmosphere of the venue, coordinating and producing events, and serving as the production lead as needed.

The Assistant Production Manager will oversee the production process, coordinate all activities and operations, and manage the overall event flow. In addition, they will adhere to all safety guidelines and collaborate with the Production Operations Manager in repairing any damaged equipment. This position also involves handling administrative tasks, including but not limited to processing payroll allocations, maintaining schedules, and fostering positive relationships with clients, team members, and stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Demonstrate knowledge in the practice and procedures related to all areas of event production, event set up, tear down & changeovers.
  • Implement AREA15's emergency response plans when necessary.
  • Follow event and venue operating policies and procedures.
  • Exhibit a professional attitude at all times.
  • Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Act as Manager on Duty/House Manager throughout the entire day of the event, managing and coordinating overall event flow, staff, and contractors.
  • Ensure quality assurance throughout the production process.
  • Manage the production team and schedule to ensure timelines are maintained and deadlines are reached.
  • Process payroll and ensure timecards are accurate for labor reporting.
  • Maintain and build schedules based on the needs of the business for day-to-day operations, productions, and event production and execution.
  • Plan, schedule, direct, and execute production activities.
  • Maintain an effective and professional working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons, tenants, and others encountered in the course of employment.
  • Follow all policies/procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules, regulations, and emergency procedures established at the facility.
  • Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
  • Work according to established standards and policies set by AREA15 leadership.
  • Exhibit ART! (AREA15's service standards) at all times.
  • Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance, adhering to AREA15 standards.
  • Cultivate a professional team atmosphere.
  • Work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
  • 21 years of age or older.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Minimum 5 years of production experience in a performing arts center, music venue, or related field.
  • Related experience in production planning, budgeting, execution, and management.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to function efficiently and amiably in a fast-paced, complex, and demanding customer service environment.
  • Team-oriented and proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds assisted.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work from a standing position for extended periods of time.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Work effectively under pressure and stringent schedules, producing accurate results in a fast-paced setting.
  • Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both verbal and written form.
  • Familiarity with production hardware and software (GrandMA2 & 3, Dante, Q-Lab, Resolume, Yamaha Audio Consoles, Pioneer DJ Gear, ELM (ENTTEC LED MAPPER).
  • Must be able to work in stimulating environment subject to varying levels of light and sound, crowds and smoke.
  • Availability for varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficiency in the English language, with additional language skills preferred.
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions such as but not limited to, extreme heat, sun exposure, extreme cold, heavy rains, and or snow.
