Job summary

Price Rite of CRANSTON is seeking an Assistant Produce Manager to oversee the Produce department, maximize sales, protect assets and ensure store conditions meet company standards.

The role requires supervising 10–15 staff, maintaining safety and quality, and ensuring proper inventory and customer service levels. Pay ranges from $18 to $26 per hour, with eligibility for overtime and other benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate's degree or 1–2 years related experience or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, instructions and manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and communicate effectively with customers and associates
• Ability to perform basic algebra and geometry and apply concepts
• Must regularly stand, walk, lift objects and work in varied temperatures

Responsibilities

• Manage 10–15 subordinates; train, assign, direct, appraise and discipline staff
• Maintain store conditions per standards to improve profitability
• Maximize department sales and profits
• Build a team-oriented environment and improve morale
• Ensure proper merchandising and inventory control to meet goals
• Open or close the store as needed
• Adhere to company policies and safety regulations
• Develop daily/weekly workload plans to maximize results
