Job summary

IGA Southeast is seeking a produce department team member to ensure guests receive polite, friendly service and maintain department standards in a fast-paced grocery setting.

You will help achieve sales targets, manage inventory, and ensure product quality and sanitation in line with FLOCO Foods standards. Training and scheduling support are also part of the role.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Knowledge of produce operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the produce/floral department hosts.
• Achieve budgeted sales and profits for the produce/floral department.
• Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets FLOCO Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to FLOCO Foods standards.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure produce department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, conditioning, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintain department’s staffing and scheduling standards.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
