Job summary

Kj's Market in Thomson, GA is seeking a Produce Department supervisor to lead guest service at the produce and floral areas. You’ll ensure friendly, efficient service, maintain inventory, and uphold company standards.

This role requires lifting, training hosts, scheduling, and coordinating operations, with opportunities to grow in a family-owned grocer rooted in the Carolinas since 1922.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality required.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and 25 lbs constantly.
• Ability to read and understand information and directions.
• Knowledge of produce operations.
• Ability to supervise hosts including training and development.
• Demonstrated ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Effective communication and guest service skills.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the produce/floral department hosts.
• Achieve budgeted sales and profits for the produce/floral department.
• Maintain inventory and supplies at desired levels.
• Operate department according to merchandising and operational programs.
• Ensure product quality meets FLOCO Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout department per FLOCO Foods standards.
• Provide guidance and training to verify hosts meet performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, conditioning, stocking and guest service as needed.
• Maintain department staffing and scheduling standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities
