Gap Inc.'s Athleta brand is seeking an Assistant Designer, Print to support print and graphic concepts across product categories. You will work with the Design team to bring seasonal ideas to life, contributing to artwork development, CADs, and technical setup while learning the end-to-end print process.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in print, textile, or graphic design.
• Strong creative sensibility for print, pattern, and graphic design for apparel.
• Proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Experience with generative AI tools in the creative process.
• Familiarity with Miro and digital collaboration spaces.
• Understanding of print repeats, placement graphics, and color application.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and proactive attitude.
• Passion for Athleta’s brand and lifestyle.

Responsibilities

• Support the Surface/Print Design team in creating original prints and graphics.
• Assist in translating seasonal concepts into print and graphic executions.
• Create and update CADs, repeat layouts, and colorways in Adobe Suite.
• Collaborate with Color, Concept and Design teams to align artwork with palettes.
• Prepare artwork packages for vendor communication and development.
• Review strike-offs and samples for print accuracy, scale, and color.
• Maintain digital whiteboards (e.g., Miro) and seasonal boards.
• Build and maintain digital libraries of print, graphic, and inspiration assets.
• Color match palettes to printers and maintain calibration.
• Support trend and market research on print and graphic direction.
• Track multiple workstreams to meet milestones.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Technical Design, and Production.
