Intermediate District 287 in Brooklyn Park, MN is seeking an Assistant Principal to lead the Ann Bremer Education Center's programs for high school students and young adults ages 14-22 with unique needs. This full-time, in-person position starts October 2026 and operates under IPA guidelines.

The role requires a Master’s in education, three years of educational experience, K-12 principal licensure, and a commitment to culturally responsive practices.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education or related field.
• Three years of professional-level experience in an educational setting.
• Valid K-12 Principal licensure; experience in special education preferred.
• Experience in leading and supervising staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to staff in determining objectives and long-range needs.
• Coordinate and supervise program activities and staff.
• Oversee facility safety, security, and well-being of students and staff.
• Support licensed staff on IEPs, PBSPs, and evaluations.
• Facilitate team meetings and coordinate communications with families and partners.
• Plan and monitor program goals, staff development, and discipline procedures.
