Mastery Schools in New Jersey seeks an Assistant Principal of Instruction (API) to inspire educators to excel and empower students to reach their highest potential. You will develop and supervise a team of teachers, guide data-informed strategies, and coordinate assessments to improve learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of classroom success in an urban setting
• Master’s Degree required
• NJ certification completed or in process

Responsibilities

• Drive Mastery’s vision to build a positive, achievement-focused school culture for teachers, staff and students
• Lead and supervise a high-functioning educator team focused on superior academic performance and personal responsibility
• Supervise instructional methods, evaluate lesson plans, provide weekly observations and coach around effective strategies
• Identify students needing additional support and guide them toward supplemental services
• Engage parents and community members to foster a neighborhood-centered approach to learning
• Assist Principal with data analysis of student performance to identify gaps and guide interventions
• Manage testing schedules and attendance for teachers
