Job summary

KIPP Texas Public Schools in Houston seeks an Assistant Principal of Student Support to drive academic and cultural outcomes for multilingual learners within MTSS. You will lead language development, TELPAS coordination, and data-informed interventions while partnering with teachers, families, and administrators to foster an inclusive, joyful learning environment across campuses.

This role requires Texas bilingual teacher certifications, API leadership experience, and a deep commitment to equity

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Primary - Texas Bilingual Teacher Certification (required).
• Secondary - Texas ELAR and ESL Teacher Certification (required).
• 2 years of teaching experience (required).
• 1 year teacher leader experience with a record of results.

Responsibilities

• Instructional Leadership: Implement multilingual program models with fidelity and coach teachers.
• Strategy Supervision: Provide real-time feedback and coaching cycles on language instruction.
• Content-Based Language Instruction: Design PD on content-based language instruction for emergent bilingual students.
• Curriculum Internalization: Align standards-aligned curriculum to diverse learners in both languages.
• MTSS: Design and implement MTSS supports across Tier 1–3 and monitor progress.
• TELPAS Oversight: Lead TELPAS coordination, training, and administration.
• PTA/Family Engagement: Organize events to engage parents and communities in Title 3.
