Fulton County Schools in Georgia seeks an Assistant Principal to join the leadership team of our K-12 schools. The role supports the Principal in instructional and organizational leadership, advocates for students, families, and staff, and helps craft a shared vision for school improvement.

You will help allocate resources to boost achievement, build a talented instructional team, and ensure a safe, engaging learning environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education or related field.
• Georgia Leadership Certification (Tier I/II) or equivalent out-of-state certification.
• Must enroll in a leadership program leading to Georgia Tier I within 1 year of hire.
• Must complete a leadership program leading to Georgia Tier I within 3 years of hire.
• Minimum of 3 years certified school experience; classroom teaching preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drives instructional excellence and supports Principal in leadership.
• Participates in supervision/evaluation of personnel.
• Fosters collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Manages resources to support instruction.
• Advocates for students and communicates with stakeholders.
• Leads to achieve school vision and objectives.
• Performs routine administrative duties as assigned by Principal.
• Assists with summer school operations.
• Acts as time manager during the year.
• Performs other duties as assigned by administrator.
