The Ferguson Florissant School District is seeking an outstanding educator for the position of Assistant Elementary School Principal. Ferguson Florissant School District is committed to challenging students to achieve academic excellence and personal success by providing state-of-the-art instruction and a challenging curriculum within a warm, caring environment in partnership with dedicated parents, staff and community.
Assist the building principal in the development and implementation of the School Improvement Plan
Communicate effectively with all publics
Provide effective instructional and curricular leadership to increase student achievement
Assist in providing supervision and management of the instructional program
Communicate with parents and mediate concerns
Assist in monitoring and analyzing data in the areas of student achievement, student discipline, student attendance, graduation rates, and all areas evaluated under MSIP 5
Supervision of students
Assist principal with enhancing parent and community partnerships
Effectively evaluate instructional and support staff
Assist with day-to-day operations of the organization
Provide professional growth opportunities to staff
Mediate student conflicts
Serve on and facilitate building level committees
Provide for the effective day to day operation of the organization
Assist in the selection of staff
Promote and maintain appropriate student behavior and enforce the District Code of Conduct
Other duties as assigned by the Administration
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
Master’s Degree and valid Missouri Administrative Certification K-6
4or more years of successful teaching experience
Ability to work with, and contribute to, building a high-energy team
Must have current knowledge of effective instructional practices
Must have experience with high school curriculum standards and assessment
Must have excellent oral and written communications skills
Experience with data-driven decision making
Must have experience with effective classroom management strategies
Must have commitment to the individual worth, dignity, potential and success of each child
Experience with conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of Professional Learning Communities/Data Teams/PBIS/Response to Interventions
Knowledge of Student Code of Conduct Standards
Management skills and ability to plan, organize and implement programs
