  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
Job Goals:

To assist the principal in providing school-wide leadership and to learn the role of the principal.

Performance Responsibilities:
  1. Assist the principal in the overall administration of the school.
  2. Serve as the principal in the absence of the principal.
  3. Supervise the preparation of student schedules if delegated by the principal.
  4. Assist in working with department heads and faculty in compiling the annual budget requests.
  5. Assist in safety inspections and safety drill activities.
  6. Coordinate transportation, custodial, cafeteria, and support services as delegated.
  7. Maintain discipline and handle special cases as necessary.
  8. Engage with parent, faculty, and student groups to promote educational activities.
  9. Administer the student insurance program as requested.
  10. Perform record-keeping functions.
  11. Monitor student attendance and collaborate with the attendance officer.
  12. Supervise and evaluate teachers and departments as assigned.
  13. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the principal.
Additional Working Conditions:
  • Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue.
  • Excellent observation and communication skills.
  • May perform strenuous tasks, such as lifting, when working with students.
  • Assist students with behavioral and management needs.
  • Frequent evening and/or weekend work.
Terms of Employment:

Salary and work year as established by the Board and negotiated contract terms.

Evaluation:

Performance will be evaluated according to the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
