Candidates must be at least 18 years old, have a minimum of a high school diploma/GED, and meet the expectations of the Northern Lights Career Development Center Level 1 to qualify as a Teaching Assistant as per Vermont Early Childhood Regulations. Interested persons should be hardworking, dependable, team players, and willing to advance academically, as annual training is a state requirement.

This full-time position pays $20.00 - $20.50 per hour (based on qualifications/education), paid bi-weekly on Wednesdays.

Duties

All teaching staff are responsible for upholding state and school policies, maintaining classroom and school cleanliness, delivering age-appropriate curriculum as directed by the Lead Teacher, and contributing to curriculum development. Assistant Teachers will communicate with parents during drop-off and pick-up, requiring a professional and cheerful disposition. Providing loving care to children is essential.

Requirements

All candidates must meet the requirements set forth by the Child Development Division.
