As a Teacher at the Primrose School of Alpharetta East (located at 5425 McGinnis Village Place, Alpharetta, GA 30005), you will help young minds explore, discover, and understand the world around them.

We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic Teachers to plan and implement an ongoing program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child, in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning approach to teaching and learning.

Our School is an accredited private preschool that provides a premier educational child care experience. We offer year-round programs for children from infants through elementary-aged school children.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage daily classroom functions for a group of children.
  • Follow all policies and regulations related to health, safety, and care of children as per school and regulatory agencies.
  • Continuously assess each child's developmental needs.
  • Implement approved lesson plans and daily schedules aligned with the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum.
  • Coordinate with Leadership Team for parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations.
  • Maintain an attractive and well-kept classroom environment that encourages exploration and decision-making.
  • Provide positive reinforcement and clear behavioral expectations to children.
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the classroom, common areas, and playgrounds.
  • Attend staff meetings, workshops, and school functions as required.
  • Maintain professional appearance as per the Employee Handbook.
  • Assist in other duties as determined by the Director or designee.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in Infant and Early Preschool classrooms.
  • Availability for full-time shifts Monday through Friday (school hours 7am-6pm).
  • Energetic, fun, and positive attitude.
  • Ability to relate well with young children in a fast-paced environment.
  • Nurturing, warm, friendly, and patient demeanor.
  • Passion for working with children and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Meeting basic requirements of local child care regulations.
  • Previous teaching or assistant teaching experience in a licensed early childhood program preferred.
  • Knowledge of social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.

Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. for child safety and emergency situations.
