Job summary

The Learning Experience in Leander, TX is seeking an Assistant Preschool Center Director with daycare or preschool experience to join our team. You will help manage daily operations, lead staff, and foster a welcoming environment for children and families.

You will ensure licensing compliance, support enrollment efforts, and help mentor teachers. This role offers growth opportunities, competitive benefits, and a path to center leadership as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a leadership or management role in childcare or preschool.
• Experience in early childhood education or a related field.
• Willing to obtain state Administrative or Director credentials.
• Strong understanding of state licensing rules, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Center Director with daily operations and overall management.
• Lead by example to create a positive, welcoming, and inclusive environment.
• Assist with licensing compliance, health and safety standards, and policies.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, and engagement of staff.
• Provide guidance to teachers on implementing the TLE curriculum and learning experiences.
• Build relationships with families and deliver excellent customer service.
• Assist with staff scheduling, classroom coverage, ratios, and attendance.
• Support enrollment efforts with family inquiries, tours, and outreach.
• Maintain center records, billing, payroll, and other administrative tasks.
• Monitor classroom quality, cleanliness, organization, and safety adherence.
• Help achieve enrollment, retention, operational, and financial goals.
• Step into Center Director role when needed and provide team leadership.
