Job summary

Intermountain Electric, Inc. (IME) is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for Service & Special Projects to assist with planning, coordination, and execution of commercial and industrial electrical construction.

The role focuses on scheduling, resource allocation, and ensuring safety and quality across projects. You will support project teams by developing plans, tracking milestones, and maintaining documentation while promoting IME’s safety culture and client service standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform due diligence and conduct project risk assessments.
• Knowledge of building construction methods, materials, systems, market conditions, and trade practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information to audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge.
• Ability to influence, collaborate, and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated commitment to integrity, ethics, and professional conduct.
• Ability and willingness to travel frequently to construction project sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop project plans including scope, objectives, deliverables, schedules, and resource requirements.
• Allocate labor, materials, and resources for project execution.
• Assign tasks, set expectations, and support teams to meet milestones.
• Monitor risks, address issues, and implement solutions to minimize disruptions.
• Support quality control processes to meet established standards.
• Coordinate documentation and maintain project records across stakeholders.
