Job summary

Intermountain Electric, Inc. (IME) seeks a Senior Project Manager for Service & Special Projects to lead strategic development, planning, and execution of service work and specialized electrical projects while driving business development initiatives.

You will ensure quality standards, oversee project teams, and serve as a senior leader in client relationship management and operational excellence.

Qualifications

Extensive experience in electrical project management within service and/or special projects, required.
Proven experience in sales or business development within the electrical field, required.
Electrical field experience strongly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Business, or related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Identify and pursue new business opportunities through upselling, cross-selling, and prospecting while building strong client relationships as a trusted advisor.
Develop and execute account strategies to achieve sales targets, present initiatives with risk and financial analysis, and represent the company through networking and industry engagement.
Prepare estimates, proposals, and negotiate contracts while managing project financials, including forecasting, cost control, and profitability.
Monitor resource utilization, track scope changes, and maintain financial accuracy and transparency across all projects.
Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation across multiple projects.
Lead and coordinate project teams and subcontractors, ensuring alignment with goals, timelines, and company standards.
Monitor project progress, manage risks, resolve issues, and maintain thorough documentation to keep projects on schedule.
Implement quality control procedures, conduct inspections, and enforce safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
Provide leadership and mentorship to project managers and team members, fostering a high-performance, safety- and quality-focused culture.
Build strong client and stakeholder relationships while collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful delivery and client satisfaction.
