Burnett Specialists Staffing | Recruiting in Houston is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support planning, coordination, and execution of high-rise multifamily construction projects. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in a construction environment and a BS/BSE/BE degree in engineering or construction science/management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction science/management or engineering required.
• 2–5 years of experience in commercial/multifamily construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Familiarity with project management, scheduling and cost control.
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with PM software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager with day-to-day management of commercial and multifamily projects.
• Support planning, scheduling and coordination activities.
• Track budgets, cost reports, change orders and purchase orders.
• Assist with RFPs, subcontractor buyout, contract administration, and scope reviews.
• Review submittals, RFIs, drawings, and project documentation for accuracy.
• Coordinate with field teams to monitor progress, quality and safety.
• Participate in meetings and help with minutes and follow-up.
• Help maintain project schedules and update PM software.
• Support closeout activities including punch lists and final documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
