Job summary

Sendero Energy Services in Houston seeks an Assistant Project Manager to lead operations with the team on civil construction projects for renewables. You will help review estimates, build schedules, and manage budgets to protect margins and timely deliverables.

The role requires a engineering/CM degree, 3+ years construction experience, and certifications such as OSHA 30 and NCCER within 90 days. Strong communication and team collaboration are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field; 3+ years of construction experience.
• Strong independent and teamwork skills with quick decision ability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with MS Office, HeavyBid, PlanSwift, OST preferred.
• OSHA 30 Hour certification required.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• NCCER certification due within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations team in project construction activities and planning.
• Review estimates, scope of work, and project schedules with PM team.
• Develop and review construction schedules; support budget optimization.
• Manage project financials and ensure budgets are met; assist invoicing.
• Coordinate with EPC clients; assist in value engineering assessment.
• Review contracts, identify risk, and verify P.O.s and insurance.
• Mentor office and field staff; support risk reviews with clients.
• Ensure bonds and insurance are in place and within budget.
• Assist in subcontractor selection and buy-out processes.
• Support travel or relocation needs as project requirements.
