TITLE: Assistant Play/Drama Director
REPORTS TO: Principal - Central Middle School/Play/Drama Director
AVAILABLE: September 2026
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Stipend in accordance with EDR contract as stated in the PEA Collective Bargaining Agreement
PRINCIPAL FUNCTION: Assist the Director in overseeing the production of the yearly play/musical, including overseeing the students in the cast & casting them in roles, costuming, stage crew, musical roles, etc. Works closely with stage crew advisor, parents who support the production with costuming and makeup, vocal music teacher with assisting students learning music.
REQUIREMENTS: Previous experience in theater preferred.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT PAPERWORK: Clearances must be within 12 months and TB must be within 90 days of hire.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

HEAVY WORK: The incumbent should be able to exert up to 75 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
VERY HEAVY WORK: The incumbent should be able to exert in excess of 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and in excess of 50 lbs. of force frequently, and in excess of 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
