Hohmann & Barnard, Inc. in Pennsylvania is seeking an Assistant Plant Manager to lead precision fabrication operations, including laser cutting, CNC programming, stamping, and forming.

You’ll drive OEE, safety, scrap reduction, on-time delivery, and budget adherence. Responsibilities include coaching teams, optimizing nesting and cut parameters, coordinating with engineering on CAD/CAM integration, maintaining equipment uptime, and applying Lean methods to improve workflow and changeover

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years supervisory experience in fabrication or metal manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of fiber laser cutting systems and CAD/CAM programming.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production reporting.
• Lean manufacturing mindset with continuous improvement experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and optimize all site-level fabrication operations (laser, stamping, forming).
• Drive OEE, safety, scrap reduction, and on-time delivery.
• Coach teams in laser programming, press setup, and lean methods.
• Collaborate with engineering on CAD/CAM integration and process validation.
• Manage budgeting, tooling, and maintenance planning.
