Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking an experienced Assistant Plant Manager to lead aluminum extrusion manufacturing. The role directs daily plant operations, optimizes press runs, and manages die setups to maximize recovery and minimize scrap. Requires 5–7 years of production management, strong quality and cost control skills, and EPICS proficiency. Salary range $95,000–$110,000.

Shift is third with hours 6 PM–2 AM. Bachelor’s degree required. Open to applicants in Bristol, TN area under Randstad USA.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate production and processing of aluminum extrusions.
• Ensure materials, labor, and equipment are used efficiently to meet targets.
• Focus on recovery to minimize waste and adapt work orders as needed.
• Review schedules and orders considering budget and time constraints.
• Participate in production meetings as required.
• Assist in scheduling customer orders to meet shipping demands.
• Support die setup, performance, and maintenance in production.
• Review operations with staff to resolve problems.
• Initiate and coordinate inventory and cost control programs.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate production and processing of aluminum extrusions for the organization.
• Ensure that supplies, materials, labor and equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets.
• Focus on production recovery during extrusion process to minimize waste and use ability to modify, alter or change work order during production run.
• Review processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
• Involvement in all production meetings as required.
• Assist scheduling all customer orders based on shipping schedule to meet customer demands.
• Utilize experience in help with the set-up, performance and maintenance of the dies used in the production process.
• Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
• Initiate and coordinate inventory and cost control programs.
