Job summary

technoformhris is seeking an Extrusion Operator for a 12-hour night shift (6pm-6am) to operate high-precision plastic extrusion lines. The role requires setup, changeovers, data reporting, and material blending to meet production specifications.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, perform tests with calipers and measurement tools, and participate in 5S/LEAN initiatives while supporting continuous improvement and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience as an Extrusion Operator.
• Mechanical background with plastic extrusion equipment or precision measuring devices is preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Tow motor experience is desirable.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and proficiency with MS Word/Excel.
• Quality control exposure; ISO experience is a plus.
• Lean/Six Sigma exposure or participation is beneficial.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Operate an extrusion process of high precision plastic profiles.
• Perform line setup and changeovers per schedule.
• Record on-line production and QC data accurately.
• Blend materials and load hoppers to meet specs.
• Conduct mechanical and physical testing per product specs.
• Maintain and repair extrusion line equipment and tools.

Job description

Extrusion Operator (12 hrs night shift 6pm-6am)

Shift: Nights Rotating 12-hour schedule (Scheduled 4 days week 1 and 3 days in week 2; rotating)

Candidates who accept an offer are required to complete a background check and drug test before they start.

Your Tasks:

• Operate an extrusion process of high precision custom plastic profiles.
• Initial line setup and change overs following posted schedule.
• Responsible for detailed completion of all on line, QC and production data reporting.
• Blend materials and load hoppers to meet product specifications and order needs.
• Perform a variety of mechanical and physical testing required per product specification and quality assurance using calipers and other measurement processes.
• Maintain and repair extrusion line equipment, tools and work area as scheduled or as needed.
• Maintain order and cleanliness in all work areas through 5S and LEAN manufacturing methods.
• Communicate and cooperate with fellow employees to maintain quality, operational efficiency and safety metrics.

Your required Qualifications:

• 2 years’ experience as an Extrusion Operator
• Mechanical background required. Experience working with plastic extrusion equipment, precision measurement devices or computerized control systems preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Tow motor experience
• Mathematical aptitude
• Experience with Microsoft Word, and Excel
• Experience with quality control; ISO experience preferred
• Prior participation in a Six Sigma or Lean Project a plus
