Job summary

Hudson Technologies seeks an Assistant Plant Manager to support daily operations, safety, and production goals at our Champaign facility. You will lead production teams, coordinate schedules, and drive improvements while maintaining quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

3+ years of supervisory or lead experience in manufacturing or chemical handling environments.
Lean Six Sigma certification required; Green Belt or higher preferred.
Experience with refrigerants or regulated chemicals is desirable.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills; ability to coach teams.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

Support the Plant Manager in daily operations to ensure safety, compliance and production efficiency.
Coordinate production schedules and ensure on-time output with quality controls.
Supervise production leads and operators, providing coaching and direction.
Maintain a clean, safe facility compliant with OSHA and company policies.
Monitor KPIs, perform root-cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement.
Collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to ensure equipment readiness and product certification.
Participate in audits, safety meetings, and reporting/documentation tasks.
Step in for the Plant Manager during absences and support external/internal communications.
