Job summary

Austin Powder is seeking a PETN Assistant Plant Manager to act as second-in-command for the PETN facility, supporting the Plant Manager and guiding Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality teams to meet safety and production goals.

The role focuses on leading process safety, regulatory compliance, capital planning, and continuous improvement while overseeing budgeting, staffing, and performance metrics in a demanding chemical manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of manufacturing experience in a high-hazard environment with PSM.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership responsibility with production and personnel management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as second in command for the PETN facility and act on behalf of the Plant Manager during absences.
• Lead cross-functional teams across Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, SHES and Supply Chain.
• Drive safety, environmental performance, reliability, cost control, and workforce development.
