Job summary

Ilocatum is seeking an Assistant Plant Engineer in Denison, Iowa, for a 1st shift, on-site role. You will own capital projects, lead maintenance teams, and drive TPM and reliability improvements to maximize OEE and minimize downtime.

The role reports to the Plant Engineer and requires a strong background in food manufacturing, ammonia refrigeration, PLCs, and CMMS proficiency. Competitive compensation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of related manufacturing experience.
• 2+ years in a leadership role.
• PLC experience.
• Ammonia refrigeration experience.
• Food manufacturing background.
• Proficiency with CMMS and Microsoft Office.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical skills including instrumentation.
• Experience with TPM and preventive/predictive maintenance.
• Ability to analyze maintenance data and report KPIs.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Owns capital project development and post-approval management.
• Schedule and execute projects to stay on time and on budget.
• Lead the Maintenance Department and implement TPM programs.
• Optimize resource scheduling to reduce downtime and costs.
• Develop maintenance KPIs and report to the Plant Engineer.
