Job summary

Centene Corporation is seeking an Assistant Plan Controller in Missouri to assist with monthly financial analyses for management guidance and to prepare reports on income, expenses, and earnings, including statutory reports. The role leads two direct reports and requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance with 4+ years in accounting or healthcare finance; Master’s is preferred and CPA is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s degree preferred.
4+ years of accounting or finance experience, preferably in public accounting or healthcare.
Onsite Missouri role with occasional weekly on-site expectations.
CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with monthly financial analyses of operations for management guidance.
Assist with the preparation of reports on income, expenses, and earnings, and statutory reports.
Monitor processes and systems to assure integrity in health plan financial reports and internal controls per GAAP/SSAP.
Assist in arranging audits of the health plan’s accounts.
Provide financial and business analysis as required.
Convey health plan needs to appropriate parties and help develop and monitor program results.
