Job summary

Centene Corporation is seeking an Assistant Plan Controller to help manage financial affairs across health plans. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 4+ years in accounting or finance, ideally in healthcare.

Candidates should be proficient with Excel, XLOOKUP, PivotTables, Power Query, and Power Automate, with a CPA preferred. The position leads two direct reports and offers exposure across Finance and operational teams, with on-site work in Missouri about once per

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
4+ years accounting or finance experience, preferably in healthcare.
Advanced Excel skills including XLOOKUPs and PivotTables.
Experience with large data set analysis and account reconciliations.

Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation of monthly financial analyses of operations for guidance of management.
Assist with the preparation of reports outlining financial position (income, expenses, earnings) and statutory reports.
Monitor business processes to ensure integrity of health plan financial reports and internal controls.
Assist in arranging audits of the health plan’s accounts.
Provide financial and business analysis as required.
Convey health plan needs to appropriate parties for coordinated action and monitor program results.
