Job summary

Centene Corporation in Missouri is seeking an experienced Data Analyst III to analyze extensive provider analytics and help reduce the cost of care while improving member outcomes. You will work with stakeholders to identify value, develop solutions, and deliver insights that support network strategy and business decisions.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) with 4+ years of data experience, strong SQL and BI tools (PowerBI), and familiarity with Python or R.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, public health, health informatics, healthcare administration, finance or related field or equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 4+ years of experience working with large databases, data verification, and data management or 2+ years of IT experience.
• Healthcare analytics experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of SQL/querying languages and familiarity with Python/R and PowerBI would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze data from multiple sources including claims, provider, member, and encounters data.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot complex scripts and reports using SQL, Excel, or other analytics tools.
• Plan and execute large-scale projects with limited leadership direction.
• Assist in design, testing, and implementation of process enhancements and automation opportunities.
• Identify data irregularities, perform root-cause analysis, and present findings to leadership or customers.
• Engage with customers and partners to gather requirements and validate results.
