It’s an exceptional next step for a strong Senior Payroll Processor ready to move into a supervisory/assistant‑manager role. This position offers a hybrid schedule, competitive compensation, and the chance to influence payroll operations across a large, multi‑entity, high‑volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Location: Houston, TX – Jersey Village area 290 & Fairbanks
• Schedule: Hybrid: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote
• Base salary: $80K–$100K, with flexibility above the range for highly qualified candidates - Direct Hire

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead weekly, bi‑weekly, and semi‑monthly payroll cycles
• Maintain Workday payroll accuracy and system alignment
• Manage hires, terms, pay changes, deductions, and garnishments
• Serve as an escalation point for payroll inquiries

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field strongly preferred; equivalent experience (minimum 5 years) considered in lieu of a degree

Required Skills

• 2+ years of payroll experience in a corporate or multi-location environment, including experience supervising, guiding, coaching, or overseeing payroll staff
• Workday payroll experience (must‑have)
• Solid understanding of payroll regulations and tax laws
• High accuracy, strong documentation discipline, and comfort in a fast‑moving environment
