• Provide pastoral care through counseling, visitation (seniors, shut-ins, hospitals), and crisis care.
• Supervise and support non-ordained ministry staff.
• Foster a culture of care and accountability within the congregation.

Job description

Position Summary

The Assistant Pastor will strengthen and expand Westminster’s shepherding ministry by leading systems of pastoral care and community-based discipleship. In close partnership with the Senior Minister, pastoral staff, elders, and lay leaders, this pastor will provide oversight, teaching, pastoral care, and staff leadership that fosters spiritual growth and a Christ-centered community. This position will also play a key role in weekly worship leadership and will regularly preach the Word in an expository manner, teach Sunday school classes and assist with Wednesday night adult education.

• Lead corporate worship weekly on Sunday mornings and regularly on Sunday evenings.
• Equip elders and lay leaders for effective shepherding, discipleship, and care.
• Provide pastoral care through counseling, visitation (seniors, shut-ins, hospitals), and crisis care in collaboration with the pastoral team.
• Supervise and support non‑ordained ministry staff.
• Foster a culture of care, accountability, and gospel‑centered community throughout the congregation.
