Founders Ministries, Inc. seeks a Worship Pastor to shepherd the congregation, equip believers for spiritual maturity, and lead family and youth ministry with a Gospel-centered focus.
The role emphasizes strong biblical teaching and pastoral care in collaboration with the Lead Pastor and volunteers. The position requires a Master of Divinity, Reformed theology alignment, and a heart for discipling the next generation.
The Worship Pastor will serve as a key shepherd within the church, responsible for equipping believers for spiritual maturity, caring for families, and discipling the next generation. This role requires a strong theological foundation, a shepherd's heart, and the ability to teach God's Word faithfully while fostering family and youth ministry. The Worship Pastor will report directly to the Lead Pastor and work collaboratively with the church staff, elders, and volunteers.
Provide theologically robust preaching and teaching in alignment with the church's doctrinal commitments.
Preach in the Sunday morning service approximately once a month (or as assigned).
Assist in leading Bible studies, discipleship classes, or training opportunities to strengthen theological depth among members.
Provide weekly teaching and care for the youth (middle school and high school).
Collaborate with the Lead Pastor to share responsibilities for youth ministry (teaching, events, mentoring).
Equip parents to be the primary disciplers of their children, offering resources and training for family discipleship at home.
Organize youth gatherings, retreats, and mission/service opportunities that build gospel maturity and community.
Offer biblical counseling for marriages, parents, and families throughout the week.
Develop preventative care ministries (premarital counseling, parenting classes, marriage enrichment events).
Walk alongside families in times of crisis with gospel-centered care.
Train and resource lay leaders to help carry out counseling and family care in the church.
Lead Sunday Service Music. We listed music as other duties but named the position worship pastor because our hope is not for a person who merely leads music. Instead, we see music as just a smaller part of the greater role of pastoring the flock.
Assist in pastoral care, visitation, and church-wide discipleship initiatives.
Support and participate in the overall vision and mission of the church.
Attend staff meetings, elder meetings (as appropriate), and leadership retreats.
Shepherd volunteers and ministry leaders within youth and family ministries.
