Job summary

Stotz Equipment is seeking an Assistant Parts Manager to support daily operations of the Parts Department. You will oversee inventory, sales performance, team development, customer satisfaction, and efficiency, working closely with the Parts Manager.

You will help manage vendor relationships, pursue profitability, and mentor staff while maintaining accurate parts operations across locations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of parts department management experience.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Proficient with computers, spreadsheets, and budget creation.
• Strong communication and customer-service focus.
• Organized, detail-oriented, with ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Willingness to travel to company locations or vendor sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily parts department operations, including sales, inventory control, ordering, receiving, and expense management.
• Support department goals, budgets, forecasts, and profitability initiatives.
• Help monitor inventory levels, shortages, backorders, and expedite parts through alternate sourcing when needed.
• Ensure accurate recordkeeping and maintain audit-ready parts processes.
• Assist with vendor relationships and purchasing activities.
• Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and outstanding customer service.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and training to parts team members.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, and development of department personnel.
