The Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry, Bureau of Parks and Lands Division, is looking to fill a Full Time Seasonal (26 Weeks) Assistant Park Ranger position, located at Popham Beach State Park.

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: This position involves maintenance and providing services to park visitors at a state park or day use area. Responsibilities may include supervising a small crew of maintenance and operations staff. Work is performed under general supervision.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to follow directions.

LICENSING/REGISTRATION/TRAINING: Valid Class C Maine motor vehicle operator’s license is required.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• Applicants must be 18+ (Lifeguards 16+)
• Must be U.S. citizens or authorized to work in the U.S.
• Housing provided at specific locations; not available at all parks.
• Most positions require 40 hours/week, including weekends and holidays.
• Uniforms are provided.
