Grade/Salary:Grade 08 - $15.00 - $18.98 Per Hour

*Season: 01720-6346 - 26 Weeks (Approximately 04/20/2025 to 10/18/2025)

The Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry, Bureau of Parks and Lands Division, is looking to fill a Full Time Seasonal (26 Weeks) Assistant Park Ranger position at Popham Beach State Park.

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: This role involves maintenance and providing services to park visitors, including directing and overseeing a small crew of maintenance and operations staff. Work is performed under general supervision.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to follow directions.

LICENSING/REGISTRATION/TRAINING: Valid Class C Maine driver’s license required.

Additional information for seasonal employment at Maine State Parks:

  • Must be 18+ years old (Lifeguards must be 16+)
  • Must be U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Housing provided in specific areas; generally not available elsewhere.
  • Work schedule typically 40 hours/week, including weekends and holidays.
  • Uniforms provided.
