Job summary

The City of Hialeah is seeking a dedicated Assistant Park Manager to lead recreational programming and staff at a public facility. In the absence of the Park Captain Manager, you will assume responsibility for programming, staffing, and facility operations, directing both full-time and part-time employees.

You will plan, organize, and oversee a wide variety of activities, coaching and officiating as needed, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across park sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 1 year of parks/recreation experience.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
• Valid Florida driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise recreational facility operations under supervision.
• Plan, coordinate and schedule activities for the site.
• Coach and officiate athletic games, crafts and related activities.
• Prepare schedules and work assignments for staff.
• Conduct park inspections to ensure public safety.
• Maintain records and prepare reports.
