Job summary

Hydro Extrusions in Gainesville, GA is seeking a paint room operator to stage, mix and apply paint on aluminum extrusions. The role supports a 12-hour continental day shift from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM and provides opportunity to advance to Painter within six months.

You will perform checks on paint line equipment, maintain safety and hazardous waste procedures, and operate a forklift. Starting pay is $25.25 per hour with benefits.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of paint processes.
• Mobile Equipment Certification required (or ability to attain via Hydro training).
• Ability and willingness to move into Painter role within six months.
• Must be able to pass pulmonary/respiratory testing.
• Push, pull, and maneuver heavy drums of paint (up to 250 pounds) with a partner.

Responsibilities

• Staging and mixing of paint for application.
• Back-up painter when necessary.
• Route maintenance of paint line equipment.
• Support PM requirements.
• Complete check sheets.
• Preparation of paint for application.
• Physical and visual checks on metal entering and exiting paint room.
• Managing hazardous waste according to state and federal regulations.
• Operation of forklift.

• Must have ability to push, pull, and maneuver heavy drums (up to 250 pounds)ofpaint on a regular basis with a partner.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year's experience in manufacturing.
• HSD / GED preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Team player; Self-starter.
• Adaptable to change.
