Job summary

Milford High School in Milford, NH seeks an Assistant Outdoor Track and Field Coach to instruct student athletes in fundamental skills, strategy and conditioning for success. The coach will work under the Athletic Director, develop game and practice plans and may lead early practices while supervising bus transport to away games.

Candidates should have track/field participation or coaching experience. Knowledge of first aid and CPR is required; district will provide training as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching or participating in track and field at high school or college is preferred.
• First aid and CPR knowledge is required; district will provide training as needed.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of the High School Athletic Director, the Assistant Outdoor Track and Field Coachwill instruct student athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical trainingnecessary for them to realize a degree of independent and team success. This positionwill also instruct and demonstrate behaviors that lead to strongcharacter development, self discipline, self confidence, and pride of accomplishment in the student athletes. Prepare game and practice plans, and occasionally lead early practices and act as adult supervision forbus transportation to and from away games.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Demonstrated ability to foster meaningful relationships with adolescents, strong leadership skills and dynamic presence.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

High school or college Track and Field participation and/or coaching experience is preferred.

Knowledge of first aid and CPR required. District will provide training.
