Milford School District NH invites applications for a Track and Field Assistant Coach at Milford High School. The role involves teaching fundamental skills, strategy, and conditioning to student athletes, while promoting character, discipline, and pride in accomplishment.

You will plan practices and games and occasionally supervise early sessions and transportation for away games. The ideal candidate shows strong leadership, builds relationships with adolescents, and has relevant coaching

• Experience coaching track and field preferred.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR; district will provide training.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

Under the supervision of the High School Athletic Director and the Track and Field Head Coach, the Track and Field Assistant Coach will instruct student athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success. This position will also instruct and demonstrate behaviours that lead to strong character development, self discipline, self confidence, and pride of accomplishment in the student athletes. Prepare game and practice plans, and occasionally lead early practices and act as adult supervision for bus transportation to and from away games.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Demonstrated ability to foster meaningful relationships with adolescents, strong leadership skills and dynamic presence.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

High school or college Track and Field participation and/or coaching experience is preferred.

Knowledge of first aid and CPR required. District will provide training.
