  • Maintain regular communication with students via virtual office hours and email.
  • Maintain clear records in Blackboard Ultra and the university’s systems.
  • Follow university policies and procedures.
  • Advise and mentor students in academic and professional development.
  • Contribute to curriculum design and departmental assessment.
  • Serve department and university committees.
  • Maintain active engagement in scholarship and service in the field.

The successful candidate will contribute to a dynamic and collaborative department that prepares students for graduate study and meaningful careers in art and related fields.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Teach courses in the Art and Art Education curriculum
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Music and Fine Arts Department and throughout the university.

Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master’s degree in Studio Art
  • Active creative/scholarly work
  • Student-focused teaching that addresses the needs of all learners
  • Ongoing professional development
  • Strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • M.F.A. in Studio Art
  • Experience with a variety of pedagogical and technological educational delivery methods.
