Job description

Assistant Operator ensures safe, timely, and accurate end-of-line production SAP transactions, quality checks, and coordination support to Operator I and Operator II, along with related tasks in accordance with Pregis best practices. The ideal candidate will have 0-1 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. This position aims to foster a work environment that promotes safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all Pregis safety rules and policies, ensuring all teammates comply.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of all production reporting.
• Ensure the production of quality products.
• Inspect and perform measurements on all extruded items and products as defined by SOPs.
• Support and assist Operator I and Operator II during start-up, changeover, and shutdown procedures.
• Assist in moving and grinding start-up and scrap materials generated during extrusion.
• Perform routine housekeeping to maintain organized and clean material storage and use areas.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of manufacturing experience in a complex environment.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task efficiently.
• ERP knowledge; SAP experience is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and adaptability to change.
