You will be based in our Springfield, TN location. This shift will start on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5:00 am to 5:30 pm, depending on production needs.

Please note that we are currently unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.

Your main tasks

• Operate various heavy equipment and monitor processes to ensure proper application of fabrication standards. Contribute as a team member to team projects.
• Use judgment to check parts for imperfections. Perform troubleshooting and minor preventive maintenance on machines.
• Pass a basic skills test within 30 days of starting training; failure to do so may result in disqualification. After completing basic skills, training to advance to the 028 Intermediate Level can begin within 6 months.
• Conduct safety checks, start and stop presses, load coils of steel, adjust straighteners, and make steel alignment changes. Rake scrap without tripping safety lights, adjust lubrication levels, and perform coil identification, feeder accelerations, and lead checks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Experience in a similar industry, preferably with press operations.
• Must pass Lockout/Tagout training prior to job assignment.
• Must be Yellow Gear certified or obtain certification within 6 months.
• The Entry Level 017 position is limited to 9 months; progression to higher levels is required to avoid disqualification.

Physical Demands

• Lift 35 to 70 lbs.
• Stand and walk for long periods.
• Bend at the waist and reach above shoulder level.
