Job summary

Pregis is seeking an Assistant Operator to support safe, timely, and accurate end-of-line production SAP transactions, quality checks, and coordination with Operator I/II. Ideal candidates have 0-1 years of manufacturing experience and a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

The role involves assisting with start-up, changeover, and shutdown, maintaining production reporting accuracy, and ensuring proper material handling and housekeeping to sustain efficient extrusion operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure completeness and accuracy of all production reporting
• Ensure production quality meets standards
• Inspect and measure items per SOP on extruded products
• Support Operator I/II during start-up, changeover and shutdown
• Assist in moving and grinding start-up and scrap materials
• Perform routine housekeeping to keep storage areas orderly

Job description

Assistant Operator ensures safe, timely and accurate end of line production SAP transactions, quality checks, and coordination support to the Operator I and Operator II, as well as related tasks in accordance to Pregis best practices. The right individual will have 0-1 years experience in a manufacturing environment. This position will create a work environment contributing to the safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement activity of the team.

Operational Excellence

• Assure completeness and accuracy of all production reporting
• Ensure quality products are being produced
• Inspect and perform measurements as defined by the SOP on all extruded items and products being produced
• Provide support and assistance as needed to the Operator I and Operator II during start up, changeover, and shut down
• Assist in moving and grinding all start up and scrap materials generated during the extrusion process
• Performs routine housekeeping duties to ensure the material storage and use areas are need and orderly

• 0-1 years of manufacturing related experience in a complex manufacturing environment.
