Assistant Operations Manager - Housekeeping

The Assistant Operations Manager - Housekeeping is responsible for assisting in overseeing the entire housekeeping area, including public areas and night cleaning. This role requires a solid understanding of housekeeping and laundry supplies and pars, and ensuring all safety and security policies are followed. Responsibilities may include staff training, development, and scheduling. The Assistant Operations Manager promotes an environment that ensures customer and associate satisfaction. This position reports directly to the Director of Housekeeping and requires strong attention to detail and effective communication with guests, departments, and team members.

Salary range for this position is $63,450 to $69,000, based on experience.

Qualifications
  • A genuine desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • At least 1 year of progressive hotel Rooms Management experience.
  • Service-oriented style with professional presentation skills.
  • Hotel/Hospitality degree is an asset.
  • Strengths include high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leadership, effective communication, and customer service excellence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous while focusing on guest needs.
Physical Aspects
  • Sitting for long periods.
  • Constant use of phone and computer.
  • Occasional kneeling, lifting, squatting, bending, and climbing ladders or stairs. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Job Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality service, exceeding guest expectations.
  • Respond to calls, requests, and complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Use Hotsos system for requests and follow-up.
  • Maintain communication with staff for guest needs.
  • Participate in daily preshifts and adhere to uniform standards.
  • Promote teamwork and associate engagement.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel services and surroundings.
  • Follow all work rules, procedures, and policies.
  • Ensure safety procedures are known and followed.
  • Assist with training and safety programs.
  • Support management with organizational and communication tasks.
