What You'll Be Doing

As an Assistant Operations Manager, you will report directly to the Operations Manager and actively participate in all aspects of facility and operational management. You will serve as an assistant to the Manager, support Supervisors to ensure operations meet targets and maintain standards. You will work on highly visible special projects to showcase your knowledge and skills to a broader audience than just your service center. You will be the key person maintaining safety and accuracy on your assigned shift, ensuring high employee morale.

Monday - Friday; 9:00am - 5:00pm

Scope and Responsibilities

Some of your duties will include:

  • Managing facility activities in the absence of the Facility Manager; serving as manager in charge during your shift.
  • Ensuring employee safety and efficient performance of duties.
  • Training employees thoroughly in their assigned duties.
  • Scheduling labor effectively, using overtime as needed.
  • Upholding Showcase Standards on your shift.
  • Achieving corporate and CSC goals through metrics.
  • Developing strategies for workplace efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Addressing employee and customer concerns.
  • Filling in for Supervisors when absent, with proficient knowledge of Supervisor responsibilities and team member duties.
  • Leading and participating in projects, demonstrating knowledge of six sigma and lean principles.
  • Learning and demonstrating proficiency in facility management functions like performance management, budgeting, asset management, and customer relations.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 4-year college degree in Business Administration or related field, or 5+ years of management experience.
  • Experience in global supply chain management, preferably in semiconductor, pharma, or gas industries.
  • Experience with Customer SOR, Rinchem SOR, or industry-specific SOR.
  • Proven negotiation skills for large contracts.
  • Strong technical data analysis skills.
  • Track record of implementing successful ideas.
  • Excellent time management.
  • At least two years of supervisory experience in warehouse management.
  • Business development and sales experience.
  • Knowledge of inventory/materials forecasting and management.
  • Negotiation, supplier management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM/Salesforce, Tableau, and related programs.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% for business.
  • Fluent in English, with good vision and hearing abilities.
