Job Description

In this position, you play a key role in supporting the Operations Manager with daily field operations, supervising crews, ensuring regulatory compliance, and contributing to the successful, safe, and timely execution of environmental remediation and demolition projects. The Assistant Operations Manager is expected to bring hands-on experience from the construction, demolition, or environmental services industry and step confidently into a leadership capacity. Responsibilities:

  • Assist in scheduling and dispatching field crews, coordinating necessary equipment and materials for project execution.
  • Support project planning, site mobilization, daily operations, and job closeout activities.
  • Monitor job sites regularly to ensure safety compliance, work quality, and adherence to project specifications.
  • Help ensure compliance with EPA, OSHA, DOT, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to facilitate smooth project flow.
  • Track and report project progress and key performance indicators.
  • Train and mentor new field personnel, promoting consistent adherence to protocols and quality standards.
  • Oversee equipment operations, including maintenance, repairs, and coordination with mechanics.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in asbestos abatement, demolition, construction, or environmental fieldwork.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and safety standards.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, site plans, and technical documentation.
  • Asbestos Supervisor Certification and OSHA 30 (or willingness to obtain).
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and reliable transportation.
  • Must be drug-free and physically capable of assisting with hands-on work as needed.

The base salary range for this position is $70,000 - BOE, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
