Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

As a BCN Hospice Team member, you will be part of a team providing care and support to patients and their families who have chosen comfort care over curative treatments for their terminal illness. Our service enables team members to focus on one patient at a time, providing care where the patient calls home, including houses, apartments, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and hospitals. When care needs are complex, we provide services at our Hospice Care Centers.

About The Role: The Assistant Nursing Supervisor assists in planning, coordinating, supervising, and delivering patient and family care services, supporting the RN Supervisor. This role involves working with management to ensure quality care, staff orientation, education, scheduling, and providing direct patient care as needed. The role supports standards of quality, safety, and organizational culture.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school
• Current RN license in Kentucky or participating COMPACT state
• Two years of general nursing experience; hospice experience preferred
• Skilled in nursing practice and professionalism under emotional stress
• Understanding of hospice philosophy and death/dying principles
• Current CPR certification
• Satisfactory references from previous education/employment
• Excellent observation, judgment, communication, and documentation skills
• Self-directed with minimal supervision, team-oriented
• Valid driver’s license, insured vehicle in good condition, auto liability coverage
• Compliance with employee health and vaccination policies
