About This Role

What You'll Do

• Support the Nurse Manager with supervising and supporting RNs and other nursing support caregivers.
• Supervise admissions, conduct assessments of patient needs, and initiate nursing care plans.
• Evaluate and document patient progress.
• Facilitate the planning, implementation, development, and evaluation of nursing programs, initiatives, and objectives for the unit.
• Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit.
• Serve as a liaison between the manager, caregivers, and other areas within the organization.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care services in a unit.
• Prepare schedules of work assignments assuring adequate coverage.
• Participate in and support quality improvement projects, outcomes studies, and research initiatives.
• Assist in orienting new caregivers.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Experience: 2+ years of recent critical care (ICU) experience required
• Experience: Previous supervisory experience preferred
• Licenses & Certifications: Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Licenses & Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required
• Licenses & Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred if in a Critical Care area
